OS 10.4 - Grr... Display preferences keeps launching automatically

Hello all-

I have a G4 Dual Optical Powermac with some display issues. The system preferences window continually opens to the display preferences menu, I close system prefs. and it opens again, shortly thereafter. Originally this was very sporadic. Now, however, it's happening extremely regularly and growing more and more aggravating. I'd love some suggestions on how to fix it.

P.S. There are no visual display issues that I notice.

Welcome to Mac-Forums, jordanc.

Create a new user account, log out of your usual account and log in the new one to see if the problem happens with this new account as well.
