Macbook - verifying disk problem

macbookdabest has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Mac Specs: MacBook CoreDuo 1.25Gb Ram WiFi'd To Airport Extreme!

so i open disk utility to fix disk permissions

then i click verify disk and i get this message:
Disk Utility stopped verifying “MACHD” because the following error was encountered:

The underlying task reported failure on exit

Verifying volume “Amir's Baby”
Checking HFS Plus volume.
Checking Extents Overflow file.
Checking Catalog file.
Checking multi-linked files.
Checking Catalog hierarchy.
Checking Extended Attributes file.
Checking volume bitmap.
Checking volume information.
Volume Header needs minor repair
The volume Amir's Baby needs to be repaired.

Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit


1 HFS volume checked
Volume needs repair


but it wont let me repair disk

if that is your system disk you will have to boot from your install media to fixed the problem.

so i put in the mac os cd
restart my mac then what

reboot your system, hold down the key c as it is booting. when you get the install window, look for the disk utility apllication under one of the drop down menus.

does this seem normal though because i boughmy macbook a month ago

maybe this is why safari quits unexpectantly a lot

i had a similar issue 2 days after getting my macbook and trying to install bootcamp, i had to do a repair to the disk and has been well since.
