hey guys,
hey guys, i installed the latest parallels beta (3120) and installed it. having never used parallels tools before i didnt need to uninstall it from bootcamp. so i installed parallels tools on my bootcamp xp installation. worked great! really really liked it. i left my macbook alone for a bit and the screensaver came on. however, when i tried to log back in, the screen stayed black no matter what i did. i pushed all sorts of keys etc. but the screen stayed black. i held the power button to reboot. now when i try to boot into osx it says i need to hold the power button and restart, which repeats when i follow that instruction. and it cant boot into bootcamp, it says im missing hal.dll i figured, ok, cut my losses, lose my work and reformat like i would in xp. just stick in the disc and go. so i put in mac os disc that came with the macbook. it begins to boot from it but then jumps to the restart screen. what a pain! what can i do guys? ideally id like to save all my data and applocations on the mac OS, but if need be ill reformat. any and all help is appreciated. thank you.
