OS 10.5 - Invisible folder icons

The folder icons in Finder and on the desktop do not show up at all. On the dock the folder icons are black.

I've tried rebooting.

I've updated and created a new user account as well.

I attached screenshots.

Is this really 10.5 Leopard you are talking about, or did you mean 10.4 Tiger? Leopard isn't out yet - are you running a beta?

Have you loaded any of the icon set changing programs like ShapeShifter or its ilk? When did the problem start? What had you loaded just before that?
