I am hoping to find a shortcut or a "cheat" that will allow me to use the system discs that shipped with the Mac mini that I bought for my mother last year (OSX 10.3) to upgrade my iMac G4 that is currently running 10.2. Is this possible?
QUOTE Thanks

No, there is no way to obtain a free upgrade to the OS.
You can however purchase them for a discount on an auction site like eBay or Craigslist. Third-party resellers also have the OS at a slight discount as well.

Agreed with DB. Panther is no longer made so you will find it on Ebay very cheap. That is the way to obtain a copy legally. Talk about any Illegal way to obtain Panther 10.3 is not allowed on the forums. Ebay is your best bet.

Thanks for the advice, I'll give Ebay a shot. I was hoping to justify the upgrade because I paid for the Mini. I guess the OS belongs to the computer, not necessarily the owner.
I'm glad I found this site, happy to be here:headphone
