If I have 5 user accounts setup in the iMac, is there a way to share the music and picture files under iTune and iPhoto respectively under my account with other 4 accounts?
if this can be done, the aim is to avoild saving the same files under different user account, taking up disk space. Anyone has managed to do this before or have solution to this? |

I assume that not all users would want the same iTunes library. If that's the case than just get an external HD and use it for everyones iTunes Libraries, or one large library that each user will use what they want..
Be sure everyone's settings are to keep iTunes organlized and to copy music to the iTunes folder on thte ext HD. Instead of external you could use a non destructive partition remapping program. Such as boot camp. The iPhoto thing I have no comment. Try a five user .Mac account. |

That is correct,...Did I mention Windows? I TRUST that all comments at MAC-FORUMS are about Macs unless otherwise noted.
With boot camp I simply ment using it to non destructively partition the Mac and use the second partition for Music not Windows. Rather than have to go out and buy an EXT HD. Sorry if that wasn't clear. |
