I need some help. My wife has MAC X at school and she has admininstrator and user accounts for students. I have installed a network hard drive. I can communicate with the drive but when I log in as a student I need to run a script that re-maps the drives to the desktop, but I don't know where to put the script?

Thanks

Once the drive is mapped, create an alias of the mounted drive and put it on the desktop. Then in the Finder preferences deselect connected servers from the general section. Once the alias is double clicked the drive will remap.

Using network scripts at startup will work if you put it in /Library/StartupItems but i like the above method better. If there is any network issues at boot time the mac will hang for an obscene amount of time.
