OS 10.4 - How To Lock Downloads?

hey, i have a g5 imac and i want to be the only one that does any downloading on my computer because sometimes family members download things and its bothering me, is there anyway i can do something to ask for a password before it downloads?please help me out

Not that I am aware of. Why do you want to prevent downloads? Is it just for disk space concerns?

The best bet is probably to create a guest account with very restrictive privileges then clear it out every so often. Leopard will help in this regard as it will let you set a guest account that is automatically cleared at logout.
