OS 10.4 - Can't change desktop picture or background

Guest Posts: n/a	11-18-2006, 11:51 AM When I try to go into system preferences it closes down on me until I reopen, but when I try to change the picture/background and am asked if I want to keep new settings nothing happens. Tried also to remove the original picture from the destination folder, but the picture is still on my screen. Any quick solutions? :blind:
