    Specs:
Mac Pro 2.66GHz Quad, 1GB RAM
    Activity monitor and multiple cores?
When the cpu in activity monitor says 100% cpu does that mean 100% of all the cores or 100% of just one core?

    Specs:
Aluminium Macbook 2.4 Ghz 4GB RAM, SSD 24" Samsung Display, iPhone 4, iPad 2
I think the 100% numbers at the bottom in activity monitor are for both core, so with my 2 cores at full performance it goes up to 100%.

A better way of looking at it is by selecting Window->CPU usage.

That'll show you the performance of each core individually.
