I just brought a USB wireless adapter to allow my G3 iMac to access the internet (I used to run a long ethernet cable from my router, and Apple Airport cards are around 80 here in the UK).

I got my ZyDAS BlueNEXT USB adapter installed and working fine with full WPA encryption and internet/adium etc works fine.

But, every time I start up, the configuration window comes up showing signal strength, link quality etc. There are no options to disable it or hide it. Also, I have tried looking in System preferences > Accounts > Startup Items, but it is not there.

Can anybody tell me how I can disable it from coming up? Thanks.

Did you check the program for the wireless adapter OR is this just plug & play? Because I have never used one of those so I am pretty much taking out my (you know what). Maybe if there is an app loaded you can disable from there.

This is the adapter: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/115832
And the software I am using was downloaded from their official site: http://www.bluenext.co.uk/products/wifidangle.html

I can't see an option to disable or hide it upon startup.

Anyone got any ideas?

Maybe an application to hide the config window automatically?
