Ok, my sister got a new Macbook and with it she got a copy of Tiger so I decided to put it on my G4 Panther imac. Now, whenever I turn it on I get this message:

I can't do anything but restart it. Help??!!

What you are doing is illegal. OS X delivered with every Mac is Machine specific.

I didn't know that, honestly. I'm only 15 and was told this would work fine. Do you know how I can fix it?

Never mind, it hadn't installed so I could just eject the CD at startup

What your Mac experienced is known as a "Kernal Panic". It's the Mac equiv of the "Blue Screen Of Death" which M$ users get.

Well I know what your problem is. Her macbook runs on the intel chip, and your runs on the power pc chip. The tiger software she had was for intel, and when you tried to install it on a ppc, it panicked.
QUOTE Thanks
