Hello,
As the administrator on my compter, I have gone to system prefs / accounts to try to delete users but it does not delete them. It goes through the motions but doesnt make the change. Also I cannot edit these users passwords with my admin password either. It asks for the password of the user. Is this right? Thanks, Justin. |

its usally a problem to change another users password being logged in as a different user (even with admin rights).
its really more of a Unix/Mac OS X integration thing. even though it says Admin, the only real admin is on the root level. so if you know Unix, its easy to simply change the password through the Terminal or single user mode. if youre not a *nix person, then get your OS X installation disk and boot up from it holding down C on startup. then go to the Installer Menu, and choose "Change Password" .. select the username you wish the change the password for, and then quit the installer and boot up normally. |
