at 29 seconds he opens something that allows him to launch safarie.

at 1 minute 34 (1:34) he zooms in to his curser how does he do that?

at 2 minutes 24 seconds. (2:34) he has some slideshow thing playing w/ controls. what is that.. (doesnt look like front row)

At :29, he brings up a free program called QuickSilver.

At 1:34 he pushes Command+Option+8, which is for the seeing impaired. You can then press Command+Option+Plus/Minus to zoom in and out.

At 2:24 he starts a Finder image slideshow, select the files you want to see, right click and click Start Slideshow. From there you can view them as an Index sheet or add them to iPhoto.

Yes, Macs are amazing.

Another great feature that you didn't catch is at 1:28. He presses Command+Shift+4+Spacebar to take a picture of the window he was viewing. After trying to take a screenshot in Windows, this is one of the best features of OSX.

I try to Command+Shift+/ when I can.
