I just got myself a new Macbook a few weeks ago (converted from PC). I've installed a copy of Adobe After Effects and downloaded trial versions of the Trapcode plug-ins (www.trapcode.com). Every time I open the SIT file it opens a Microsoft Word installer. I've tried a few different files and each time it still brings up the Microsoft Word installer. Is there something wrong with their install files or is there something wrong my Macbook?!

This is driving me crazy!!

Is there a free alternative to stuffit expander?
I mean with WinZip, WinRar, anything with *.zip *.rar compression there is evaluation periods, just does a pop up every time you use it.

With Stuffit, It seems to only work 30 days?! .. i run across a *.sit file once a full blue moon and they want me to pay ~25 bucks for it??

Stuffit Expander is free:

BTW, I'd highly recommend the beta universal binary version if you have an intel Mac. Major speed difference...
