When I use dvd capture it takes a picture of the whole screen and not just the movie scene. Am I doing something wrong? I wish there was a command-shift-4 option for it.

Old thread, I know, but the simplest method I've found is this:
System Preferences -> Keyboard & Mouse --> Keyboard Shortcuts, and then change "save picture of screen as file" to something simpler than apple+shift+control+4 or whatever it was. I used apple+F13, because F13 was free and it's sort of close to where the PrintScreen key is on a PC keyboard.
I don't remember if you have to go to
System Preferences -> Universal Access --> [x] Enable access for assistive devices
first.
erm, i have a question. i pressed cmd+shift+f3, and.. well, what happens afterwards? where does it go? i figured it'd copy to the clipboard like it does in windows, but when i press the buttons and then try to paste it into photoshop, nothing happens. what am i doing wrong?
Not the apple logo... sorry guys! I can't explain properly. well, How do you open the "Special Charaters" in Safari or add "New Smart Folder" in Finder using shortcut? There's keys you need to press and I don't know the first key. :black:
