Hiding disk images

i was wondering if there was any way to hide the disk images that r all over my desktop. i cant put them into a folder because it just wants to make a copy of them.

Mac Specs: 20" iMac C2D 2.16ghz, 13" MacBook 2.0ghz, 60gb iPod vid, 1gb nano
when in the finder go to

finder --> preferences --> general and just uncheck whatever you want off the desktop
trpnmonkey41 is offline

but is there any way to get rid of just the disk images? or even better put them in a folder without losing the original

you cant move the images but by unchecking them you are getting rid of the images
