OS 10.4 - New iMac Not Saving Volume Level

Mac Specs: 20" 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo iMac, 1.5 GHZ PPC Mac Mini, MacBook MB403LL/A

geekboy2000 is offline
I noticed that my new iMac doesn't restore the last set volume level when restarted. Haven't ever encountered this with my mini (both running 10.4.6). The mini is a PPC, the iMac, a new 20" Intel. Am I missing a preference somewhere? Thanks in advance.
