Panther problem w/ Internet

I have several Macs. On all of the Macs that I have upgraded to Panther (latest patches & upgrades) I am having intermittent Internet browsing problems. The problem is happening both at my home and at my office (using both the Airport and through a Cat5 cable).

If I browse for several minutes eventually IE will freeze (white-blank page 0% loaded). I can not use the Back, Stop, or reload button. I have to
completely close IE and relaunch it. This is a new problem that was not happening before I upgraded to Panther.

This can happen on any site, on any page (If I close the browser the same page will load, so it is not the specific page or content)

Anyone have any ideas what is going on?

Have you tried using Safari instead? I don't think there are many people who use IE here who could help
