I am having trouble keeping my modem from wanting to automatically dial out. I use it when I am away from home for AOL, but use my wireless when I am at home. How would I keep the modem from automatically wanting to dial out each time the computer comes on, wakes up, or an internet type program is open. Thanks for your help in advance...

In the network preferences you can drag it to the bottom of the network interface list to set its priority.

There is also an automatic dial option in modem preferences I have come to find out. Ranking the items did nothing.
