I have an iBook (900mhz G3) running panther, and just noticed that somehow system prefs has locked me out of the panes that it usually stops non-admin users from getting at (eg accounts, displays, network, sharing etc...) - so I restarted and everything was back to normal. But the peace was not to last; I checked just now and once again the same thing has happened.

Anybody else having this problem?

I'm in your forums, writing sentences in a grammatically acceptable manner.

No, not me. See if you can find the preferene pane files on your system and check the access priveliges on them.
