    External harddrive can only read, can't write to the drive. Do i have to format?
    I have a USB 2.0 external 120 gig hard drive. How do i gain read AND write access to the drive?

    Do i have to format it, because it's currently NFTS.

    Help please, and thanks in advance

    If the drive is mounted, check the permissions of the drive. You said that it is nfts, if this is a network drive, check to see if the drive is read/writable from the server.
