    Spinning Beachball Won't Go Away
I get the "Spinning Beachball" very frequently now. I run Onyx and all is well for maybe 15 minutes, then the ball is back. What can I do? Is there software that might help me? I'm running a MBPro 2.4GHz Intel Core Duo with 8 GB of RAM. Thanks in advance.

We cover this topic quite a bit. One of the first things to consider full is your HD (gigs used & gigs free)?

First thing I would do is verify the hard drive. Consistent slowness resulting in beach balls can be a symptom of a failing drive. Also take a look at how much free space remains on the hard drive. A full or nearly full drive will display the same symptoms.

Also, a slow internet connect, or a slow site at the other end can lead to beachballs.
