Hi, is Mavericks 10.9.2 compatible with photoshop Elements 8? I can't find info on the Adobe site and I called Apple...and they didn't find info either....anyone knows?

No way. Compatible with OS X.4 Tiger, X.5 Leopard and X.6 Snow Leopard only. Why would Apple know about an old, old Adobe application:-

System requirements | Adobe Photoshop Elements

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
