Is that a question or a statement ?

What are you installing then ?

A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any invention in human history - with the possible exceptions of handguns and tequila.
The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude towards the problem. You understand ?

Do you have Genieo installed / running on your Mac ?

There is a possibility that this " installer " is malware or an indicator of malware.
Check out these 2 articles.

The Safe Mac Adware Removal Guide : Genieo

Again, I can not judge from where I am sitting that this is malware you are running, but I would check it out.

No worries mate.

Maybe you could write a few lines as to what you did to fix it .... it might help other members in the future.

Oh yeah, of course.

Turns out Genieo was the problem, so I simply followed the steps from The Safe Mac Adware Removal Guide : Genieo, the link has been posted above. Make sure to follow the steps as accurately as you can, because there's a chance that you may break your Macbook, but they also provide a way to recover from that.

Read everything properly, or you'll be putting yourself at risk. Thanks again
