    i Mac OS X Sierra Version 10.12.6
    How can I recover deleted word file?
    Someone downloaded a word file on my mac. I want to undelete it so I can find out what it said. Is there a simple can I can do it using OSX 10.9.2 without having to use an external application?

    If it's in the trash can, you can simply put it back. If the trash is emptied and it's not there, you will have to use some third party program to recover it, if you can at all. If you have TM backups and if TM ran while the file was on your drive, you may be able to restore it from the TM backup.
