How do I go back to Snow Leopard from Maverick? - Maverick doesn't support my scanner and is giving me issues with a few programs.

You can only go back if you have the original Snow Leopard media. Use it to start the installer, completely erase the HD and re-install Snow Leopard..

And bombard the scanner manufacturer for an update. Some of them takes yolks to move!

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
