I am new to Mac products/systems and generally find the Mac-mini easy and quite intuitive but this one has me stumped. How does one move an audio file from downloads to music library? Have managed to get the audio file onto my desk-top but still cannot move it into my music file.

Double click the audio file and iTunes should open and begin playing the audio file. After that occurs, select "add to library".

Thanks for the info but it does not work. My audio files are not I-tune files. The file is an HTML with several audio files included downloaded to my mac-mini. I can open the files but they will not transfer to my music library. I've also placed this file on my desk-top figuring I could drag and drop them into the music file - but it didn't work.

Well, you said audio files and didn't mention they were imbedded within an HTML file. It's not going to work that way because the audio is embedded. You need to somehow separate the audio files from the HTML file or web page - whichever - before you can drag them into your iTunes library.
