help...itunes won't recognize ios7 phone

My iphone 5 and itunes 11 where all working perfectly until I updated to ios7 on my phone. Also updated itunes to the latest.
now i am getting this error... " iTunes could not connect to this phone. Could not allocate a resource" ,when I connect any of our updated phones. Even my daughters 4gs.
I have tried everything I can think of. when I called apple support........they said I must have a trojan virus and they can fix it for $149.
when I looked up what they showed me for myself.......and searched for such files. not found!!!
I am feeling distrustful of apple right now.
Thank you in advance!!!

Also I doubt this was a real Apple Store as the 5 would still be under warranty and as long as there is no damage (visible) and the OS has not been modified they will fix it.
