Transferring iPhoto & Fonts from Snow LeopardBacked up both from Snow Leopard, and trying to put them on new Macbook Air, but can't figure out where to put them on Mountain Lion 10.8.4 In SL they went into the Library, but iPhoto is no longer in Library. Assume Fonts goes into Fonts folder, but not all fonts transferred, although they all work on iMac with same operating system. Any help greatly appreciated!

It sounds like you are trying to do this manually. That's not a great idea.
Is there some particular reason you didn't simply use Migration Assistant, which would have taken care of this for you? Ah well, don't worry about it now.
In fact your iPhoto Library in Snow Leopard was in the Pictures folder in your User Library, not the Library folder. So all you have to do is open the Pictures folder on your new MBA and drag the iPhoto Library into it. Be aware that if you have started a new iPhoto Library, you will overwrite it by replacing it with your old iPhoto Library.
Fonts should be store in the root-level Library folder in the existing Fonts folder. There are in fact three Font folders on a Mac: one in the System folder (NEVER TOUCH THIS EVER!!), one at the root level (/Library/Fonts) and one in the user's library folder (users/[you]/Library/Fonts). You want the one at the root level.

Thank you much! I couldn't use Migration Assistant because the Snow Leopard laptop wasn't mine; it belonged to the school where I taught. Ya just can't mess about with those; the filters and protection put on them make things go rather wild. We back them up manually every year, and restore them manually every year. Thanks again for your time and expertise.
