I'm trying to get rid of the genieo browser page that pops up when I type in a subject to search.
I have followed the directions to remove it, and do not have it as my home page, but it still pops up when I do a search. How do I get rid of it completely?
QUOTE Thanks

How do I remove Genieo from OSX?

How do I remove Genieo from OSX?

The 2nd one will lead you to a link to properly uninstall it.
You should probably do that one first.

The first link provides details on correcting the search engine - to be used only after being properly uninstalled.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.

Should you decide to remove, please visit our FAQ page Genieo Answers Your Questions | Genieo - A newspaper styled startpage
And simply follow the instructions.
Once you are done, you can go to your browser settings and change the default homepage and search to match your decision.
