Hi, here's a weird one:
on my iMac, whenever I have to enter my login password, the little dialogue box appears with some text in English, but some in Arabic. (!) It's not a big problem, as I can still log-in, but it's a bit disconcerting. Anyone know what causes this, or how to fix it?
Thanks,
CM.

Which dialog box is this and what does it say? If this is specific to an application, you'll have to check its settings.

It's the little dialogue window that pops up to confirm that I am the administrator for my Mac.
That's the only time it happens.

Have you checked the language and text settings in System Preferences to see if Arabic is set as a language for regular use?

Hi,
checked that; indeed, several languages other than British English were ticked. I've un-ticked them all except British English; I'll see if that fixes it. Even so, it's odd that part of the text was in English and part in Arabic.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll post results in a few days.
CM.

OK, so that seems to have fixed it. Thanks for the tip; odd that the one dialogue box should have BOTH English and Arabic text, though.
