I use preview to import pictures from my devices, however when selected images are importing to a folder preview also opens the images for viewing.

I actually don't want it to do this but cannot see a way to stop it, if I close the window it simply re-opens continuing from where it is at that moment with the rest of the import.

Can I disable this?

Tool for the job - try using Image Capture instead of Preview.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.

Image Capture works for all those and more.

External hard disk acquisition addict - but admitting the problem is the first step to a robust backup
