desktop is not working

i have tried to repair permisions and the disk but it just wont work i checked to see if the desktop was locked but its not ive looked online for solutions for god knows how long and just cant seem to figure it out, i cant drag anything onto it and it has nothing on it too. pleaaassseee answer

In Finder, right click the Desktop folder > Get Info. What does it say under the permissions section at the bottom?

Can you move or see anything in the Desktop folder through a regular Finder one?

my desktop in the finder is working perfectly but on the main desktop theres nothing

Have you ever fooled around in the Terminal before? If so, do these commands look familiar?
