Hey,

I was just wondering the best way to show network up and down speeds on the main screen of OSX, I can get some good tools for the Dashboard but not for the main screen or even better the menu bar at the top of my desktop.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Depends exactly what sort of network traffic you want but have a look at iStat menus.

There are also tweaks to allow dashboard widgets on the desktop, depending on which version of OSX you have.

External hard disk acquisition addict - but admitting the problem is the first step to a robust backup
