I am having trouble getting java to work on my Mac OS X 10.8 with Safari. Java is installed on my computer, version 7 update 11. I have verified this in the Java Control Panel. In the control panel I have checked "Enable Java content in the browser". Security level is set to High. In Safari preferences, "Enable Java" is also checked.

Java is not working on pages I visit. On some pages I get "Blocked plug-in" message. If I visit Verify Java Version in Safari, it says that java is not installed.

Anyone who knows how I can make it work?

Thanks, I didn't realise that. I found a workaround to get it to work temporarily: Apple Blocks Java 7 Plug-in on OS X to Address Widespread Security Threat - Mac Rumors

Use a different browser (Firefox or Opera since Chrome doesn't support 64 bit plugins which includes Java). However "blunt instrument" this solution might seem, there isn't much you can do beyond this unless you want to start messing with XProtect files (which I strongly recommend you not do).

I tried with Opera... not working there either (plugin is enabled). I don't want to use Java in FF as that is my regular browser, where I do not dare enable Java, because of all of the security issues. I only need Java for specific sites.
