Okay,
I was trying to create multiple local sites for my apache web server following this tutorial: http://www.sitepoint.com/article/os-x-web-development 1. So I changed my "etc/hosts" file, and the "etc/httpd/httpd.conf" file to the specifications in the tutorial using Pseudo and BBEdit 8.2 to edit the hidden files. 2. This didn't work and Personal Sharing would not restart. 3. So I restated the original files from backups I had made. 4. Still Personal Sharing will not come back on.. Just sticks in starting mode greyed out. 5. I did notice that when searching for the files again with BBEdit after being saved they no longer where shown as hidden. Is there some special way you are suppose to save hidden files. Thank You, Jacob |
