Thread: Upgrade to Mountain Lion

I'm considering upgrading to Mountain Lion from Snow Leopard.
I have a 2008 iMac and have tried to upgrade to Lion before, but had a lot of problems with Wi-Fi dropping. I arranged an appointment with an Apple store, they couldn't really solve the problem & suggested going back to Snow Leopard.
My question is, if I had problems with an upgrade before, am I likely to have a problem again? Is it a fault with my iMac, or faulty downloaded software?

Both worked a treat. Could well be your modem/router. Is it 802.11n and are you using WPA2 Personal encryption?Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
