    Disk Utility Question

    I ran Disk Utility today and one of the notifications that came up was:

    Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/” has been modified and will not be repaired.

    Thing is, I don't remember modifying this (directly) and really just don't understand it. Any help would be appreciated.

    I'm running OS X 10.8.2 Mountain Lion, 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 on a late 2011 Macbook Pro.

    G'day and welcome to the forums.

    Just ignore SUID warnings.
    Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
