Hi, I am trying to make several dock modifications using terminal commands, but none of them will work. No error messages pop up, and I am restarting the dock each time I try. All of the other terminal commands work, including modifications to the finder. Any suggestions?

What dock modifications are you trying to do? And what version of OS X are you running?

I am running OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). I am trying to activate the new view option for stacks and enable iTunes track notifications. Both are listed here: 5 Ways to Customize the Dock with Terminal | Mac|Life

Did you restart the dock after trying the commands?

My only other suggestion would be that these may be for Lion, and not Snow Leopard since the article was written in January of this year.
