You can upgrade to:
- OS 10.5 Leopard ($80-$100 on e-Bay)
- OS 10.6 Snow Leopard ($29, must call Apple on their 800 number)
- OS 10.7 Lion ($29, must call Apple on their 800 number…or find someone selling the $69 Lion USB install thumb drive, e-Bay). You also need 2gig of ram for Lion.
You do not need to buy each one…you can upgrade to any one by just buying and installing.

- Imac 27", 3.3GHz, 512 flash storage, 16GB memory, macOS Sierra.
And also consider increasing that memory to 2GB.Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
