Is it possible to make desktop icons that change the desktop resolution?

I would like to make one change the desktop to 1900X???? and the other 1444X????? (these resolutions are made up)

If so, how?

Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

You could write an applescript to do this. See this discussion for details:
Applescript apps to change screen resolution

Please verify and include the exact model/year of your Mac and OS X version number (available from "About This Mac", then "More Info" on the Apple menu).
