Hi there everybody

I have been having some small trouble to install the new OS.
As things are, we are talking for a MacBook Pro, and all is up to date except the ML OS.
When I try to download it, Chrome opens a window that says to me that

You have updates available for other accounts

I really have no clue what this message is, neither whose this email address is (definitely not mine).
Important here to say is that no one has operated my computer,
but a couple of days ago, a weird window opened in my Mac, with the Windows logo, saying something about remote access, which I closed immediately.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks in advance,
Elias.

This fix helped a lot of ppl...
NGPixel Mac App Store – “You have updates available for other accounts” bug

Please let us know if it helped you as well.

PS. I may have jumped the gun a bit here, as your issue is not in compliance with the issue(s) discussed on this page I linked, I apologize for that.

Chrome shouldn't be opening at all. You are trying to download and update Mountain Lion through the Mac App Store right?

Blog and Photo Gallery: http://philolin.me/

Currently running OS X 10.10

Ok, here was the prob:
I typed Mountain Lion in Spotlight and it detected a file in the Mac HD. (wtf???) I don't know it got there, but I trashed it and did the process again, all worked fine

Follow the tutorial in the link in post #2.

Or, get rid of any pirated apps you have on your machine.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
