Are there free Mac Operating System upgrades v 10.5.8 to 10.6... ? Or, do I need to purchase the next operating system upgrade?

Please do not hi-jack an on-going thread. I moved your post to its own thread here in the same forum.

No Mac operating system is free. If you wish to update from Leopard to Snow Leopard, give Apple customer service a call and order direct from them. The cost should be $29.99 plus shipping. Snow Leopard is no longer being sold in stores.
