Special Characters

Hello Everyone,

Whenever I type ? on my keyboard I end up with the special character É. This special character (É) also appears when I type other special characters (e.g. quotation marks) on my keyboard.

At first, I decided to use Mac Help (I am on Panther), so I typed in Special Characters and reviewed “Typing special characters and symbols”. However, after fooling around with the special characters palette I still haven't corrected my problem.

Can anyone give me any advice or tips if they had this problem in the past?

P.S. The special characters you see in this message I had to manual insert using the special characters palette, so you can see how annoying my problem is.
