Macbook 2007 Boot Problems

ran check and hard drive ok
Syntax error near unexpected token "newline"
sudoers mode 0664 should be 0440
segmentation fault
configuration daemon not available

Library /startup items failed security check group writeable
System/Library/Startup Items failed group writeable
and not GID 0
Error (26)

Can power/option and boot to new install but get spinning wheel for about 5min
then i get desktop but no text of any kind. Have cursor

Cant get anything from holding "C"
Cant safe boot

Only single user start up

What OS X version?
Did you have permissions problems before this issue?

This will run permissions repair from commandline (single user):
diskutil repairPermissions /

had to order snow leopard 10.6.3
not sure what was on there b4 as i got this from a friend

only used 1 day and worked fine but i do remember going into permissions so Im
sure I changed something

where do i go to type this command? I cant get to anything?

What does it mean when the graphics for desktop come up but no icons or text?
Is the OS on there already?

Cant run this command as it says

Unable to use DiskManagement frameworkas DiskArbitration framework being unavailable in due to being booted in single user mode???????

Those are interesting questions that I don't know the answer to...
(I'm not going to experiment in Single User - sorry)
