Restart problem

Ive down loaded new software and need to restart but i just keep getting this error message..The Finder can’t quit because some operations are still in progress.but i don't seem to have anything running,I'm using lion, any ideas ? thanks,

Open Force Quit Command + Alt + Esc,
and click relaunch finder.
Or hold the power button for 10 seconds.
