    iOS5
My iPad arrived today & is all set up. Can't wait to dig in. Now, I need to upgrade my ipod touch to iOS5 so I can access iCloud & cannot figure out how. Please help.

    Specs:
    15" MBP, Core i7/2GHz, 8GB RAM, 480GB Crucial M500 SSD
Assuming your iPod Touch is one of the newer models and qualifies for iOS 5, you can upgrade it simply by connecting it to your computer, open iTunes and click to select the iPod Touch in the left pane. Then click the "Check for Updates" button. The rest of the process should be self-explanatory.
Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

It sounds like you have an older iPod Touch and that's the newest version you can run. What model of iPod Touch is it?

    Specs:
    2012 13" MBP (2.5 i5, 8GB)
The MC086LL is a 2nd gen 8GB iPod Touch according to MacTracker and the max OS version for that is 4.2.1.

That's right. You would need a later model iPod Touch to be able to upgrade to iOS 5.
