Lost original disks

i lost my original disks what can i do because i can't load it onto the other hard drive

Mac Specs: iMac i5 2.7GHz OS X.9.4 and OS X.10

Buy new ones of whatever operating system you are trying to install. If you have two hard drives both working, pop one in an external case and clone using CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper.

Helps no end if you go to the trouble of supplying computer and OS details.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

Call Apple. Supply the information about your computer and they will send replacement discs for the OS version it shipped with at a nominal charge.
