Hi there.

So I'm not a techie or anything and was wondering if anyone out there has any ideas as to whats wrong with my imac.

It currently has OS X Lion and bought my imac about 8-9 months ago.

For the last few weeks when I turn the mac on, it sometimes (not always) takes longer to load, and goes to the grey login screen (which as I thought should only come up if it has updated something? - its not set to do that everytime).

Then I notice one or two glitches either with audio, video or wifi and it won't recover these functions until I restart.

Is this common or is it a bug?

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Try Lion Recovery and check out the hard drive for starters.

In the Mac OS X Utilities select Disk utility and run Repair Disk and see what is reported.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
